The Federal Internship for Newcomers (FIN) Program, delivered through the Foreign Credentials Referral Office (FCRO) of Citizenship and Immigration Canada (CIC), is designed to provide eligible newcomers with the opportunity to gain valuable Canadian work experience within the federal government for a specified period of time. The FIN Program is open to permanent residents and Canadian citizens who have been in Canada less than 10 years.
Secondary school diploma; University Degree or College Diploma in Business Administration or Administrative Services
Post-secondary educational program in Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Management. Specializations: Computer Engineering, Computer Programming, Computer Science, Computer Technician, Information Systems, Management Information Systems, Software Development and Engineering, Systems Science and Analysis or Web Development and design. Bachelor degree in Computer Science
University Degree and/or Master Degree in: Agriculture, Biochemistry, Biology, Molecular Biology, Biotechnology, Plant Sciences, Forestry, Microbiology, Mechanical, Surveying or Geomatics, Natural Science (Specialization; Food Science, Chemistry, Geology, Geomatic, Geography, Forestry) Physical Science: (Specialization; Physics) Applied Science (Specialization; Pharmacy) Finance:

A Bachelor Degree in a science or engineering field linked or covered by the Scientific Research and Experimental Development (SR&ED) program, such as physics, chemistry, biology, earth sciences, mathematics and computer science, as well as their subfields. It is a mandatory requirement for the FIN program to have a successful screen by a partnering ISO and meet all of the eligibility criteria for the FIN Program, then after that you can apply on-line at jobs.gc.ca (Careers in the federal public service) between June 13th - 14th , 2011(applications will only be accepted during these dates).
