President's message

This is Your AREC. Get Involved!

Dear Members and Friends of AREC,

On behalf of our new executive committee, I would like to extend our warmest thanks for your support in making our Association a great success for the past few years. We hope for bigger and better things for the years to come. AREC has over 250 paying members, and successfully opened its first branch in South Ontario.

I would like to take this opportunity to also thank our executives, former executives and our members and supporters, for their efforts. Special thanks to: P.Eng, Mr. George Oprea, Former President, for guiding AREC through a challenging course to where we are today and P.Eng, Mr. Corneliu Chisu, founding member of AREC, always ready to help and support our association.

Many people ask me why I dedicate my time to AREC in the first place...

The answer is simple:

And I mean that, very seriously!

Any organization is just as good as its people. Over the years I have met numerous Romanian engineers, through AREC. They are, in my opinion, a „brain" treasure, if you will, with different professional backgrounds, working in different hierarchic levels, and with different interests.

But they all have one thing in common: They are all, great people!

As years went by, the number of the active supporters increased, and we were able to open a branch in Kitchener-Waterloo-Cambridge area, AREC-SOC. This was only possible due to the help received from a local group of enthusiastic engineers.

Our new Executive Team elected for the 2011/2012 mandate, is ready to serve your needs by putting together programs for educational and networking purposes.

We do have vigorous and sometimes uncommon dreams, but we always have a clear vision of where we want to take our Association in the years to come and what we hope for its future success.

So, this message is to THANK YOU for making it happen! Thank you for your efforts and your support to move AREC forward!

Lansata in 2003, AREC isi propune sa promoveze interesele comune ale inginerilor educati in Romania si stabiliti in Canada, sa formeze si sa consolideze o retea eficace in planul comunicarii si al accesului la resursele publice specifice pentru membrii sai, sa ajute cu expertiza si consultanta gratuita inginerii originari din Romania in demersurile institutionale privind acreditarea (licentierea) de catre PEO (Professional Engineers in Ontario), urmata de identificarea de locuri de munca adecvate si corespunzatoare nivelului de pregatire.

Prin tot ceea ce face, AREC onoreaza in fond imaginea si identitatea culturala si profesionala a specialistilor romani in Canada.
